ConditionsValidityThis document replaces earlier conditions. What's the deal? 1. Copyright The material you find on this web site is © by Emma Collingwood. Artwork is © by Amandine de Villeneuve. Be warned, ye pirates! 2. Contacting Penny, Dreadful & Tarbottom Our contact address is: emma@emmacollingwood.com 3. Website Information We have done our best to ensure that all information on this website is accurate. However, to err is human, so we give no warranty of any kind in respect of the correctness of said information. 4. Description Of Products We've described every item to our best knowledge. We reserve the right to make changes which do not materially affect the quality of the products (for example a new cover etc.). Colours may vary. We may correct an error appearing on the website or withdraw any product from sale without incurring liability. Price and availability and all guarantees may also be subject to change without notice. 5. Ordering Products You can order products through the website by filling in the form. Orders without added postage will not be fulfilled. You may only place an order if you are of legal age to do so in your country. We will confirm that we have received your order by e-mail to the address you have given. Books are only sent off after we have received your payment. 6. The Price And Payment The price quoted on the website at the time you place your order is the price you'll pay. Prices might change due to currency rates gone wild. We are not responsible for any customs import tax duties for entry of our products into your country, that's your business. There are no hidden costs; you pay for the product and the postage/packing. Complaints about outrageous postage rates are a waste of time - yes, we agree, they are ridiculous, but we are not members of the government and have therefore no influence. Please keep in mind that the postage costs are one of the reasons why we keep the price for our products so low. First and preferred way of payment is by paypal. We accept payments in GBP, EUR, USD and CHF. Customers from Switzerland and Germany also have the option of paying by bank transfer. If you'd rather not use paypal, please drop us a line, we can work out some other method of payment. Unfortunately, we can't accept cheques. Means: don't send us cheques. We don't want them. Sorry about that, but in our neck of the woods, nobody uses them and clearing charges are astronomical. Thanks for understanding. Though we're very careful as far as the content of this website is concerned, there might be an error somewhere or an article is mislabelled. Should this be the case - uh uh uh - we'll contact you and ask you if you'd like to cancel your order or keep it. We are not obliged to sell goods at a clearly incorrect price. 7. Delivery Of Products Usually, items on stock will be shipped within two working days after we receive payment. Should anything prevent this speedy delivery, we'll let you know. Just like we can't be blamed for the postage rates, we have no influence on postal services in general. Of course we hope that Mrs. and Mr. Postman will deliver everything at top speed, but if they rather have a break and a beer, there's not much we can do about it. Usually, Priority Shipping from Switzerland takes 2 - 5 days within the EU and 5 - 10 days to the USA and Canada. If there is an error or any other delivery problem regarding the products you ordered, you must notify us within 14 days after the delivery date. We will not be liable for any loss or damage if you fail to do this. 8. Cancelling Orders Boo! But alas, it can happen. Please let us know within two days after receiving your invoice if you want to cancel your order. Sales are final, though, so once you've paid, there's no going back. 9. General The products on offer on this website are considered to be private sales to persons dealing as private customers, and are not intended for re-sale. Terms and conditions and everything else on this website and connected with the sale of the products shall be governed by Swiss law. In case of disagreements and disputes, the Swiss Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction. Place of jurisdiction is Basel. Which is in Switzerland. Aye! |
